Welcome, and thanks for
stopping by the HUNGRY HORSE RANCH. This ranch consists of 80 beautiful
acres
nestled in the pines of the
Huntersville State Forest. The original homestead dates way back to the
1880’s
and has undergone many changes along
the way including ownership by the Northern
Railroad, a bankruptcy and a
forced sale on the steps of the county courthouse in Wadena, Minnesota. I
moved to the ranch in September of 1990 after retiring from a successful
career
as a mechanical contractor in my
home town of San Luis Obispo, California. I wanted to live out my retirement
in the peace and quiet of the northland while pursuing my quest to be the
steward of the land. Please browse through the sights of the ranch and be
sure to stop off at my radio shack where I spend countless hours
communicating with the world. I
hope
you enjoy your journey and the ranch.
Please leave a note in my guestbook before you leave. The coffee pot is
always
‘on’ here on the ranch should you
decide to drop in. I want to wish all of my HAM friends around the world,
the best of 73 and good DX from the HUNGRY HORSE RANCH and WØZPE.
